PROFOUNDLY deaf guitarist Murray Mandel performed in two shopping centres in Tamworth recently and it was all for a good cause.

Mr Mandel hails from Sydney and his impressive guitar skills, despite his hearing impairment, impressed locals at Tamworth Shoppingworld and Centrepoint Shopping Centre.

He stopped by Tamworth as part of a three-year tour supporting Lifeline.

The Sydney man, who has been deaf since birth, began his trip raising money for the charity on March 6 and will loop anticlockwise around the country, finishing back in Canberra in 2020.

Following his visit to Tamworth Mr Mandel was also spotted performing in Moree as he continues on his journey.
