Kangaroos coach Ben Mitchell says he is “slowly scraping together” a side for the local derby against the Swans at No.1 Oval on Saturday.

He’s used to that scenario, though.
“We’ve been like that all year,” he said.
“It’s been a bit of a struggle to get a side together, even for home games, which is a bit of a bummer.”
Both sides are coming off losses.
The red-hot Bulldogs thumped the Roos by 71 points while New England had a 95-point win over the Swans.
But despite the Swans still being winless this season, Mitchell said the Kangaroos would not be taking them lightly.
“From seeing their result last week, they certainly stuck it to Inverell,” he said.
“Inverell’s a pretty good side. They beat us.
“I was pretty impressed with the Swans’ game last week.”
In the other match on Saturday, the Nomads travel to Inverell.
