While Matt Wheatley and his team at Sigma Aerospace are flying high after cleaning up the Tamworth Business Awards triple, several other businesses from all over the region are also waking up a bit dusty this morning after lifting the top gongs in their individual categories.

Last year Nundle’s Volcania Art Glass took out the triple, and this year they backed that up with the Small Retail gong.
Choices Flooring swept the floor to pick up the Large Retail honours, while United Taekwondo got the knockout in Small Business.
Peter Pulley took out the coveted Noel Park award for his ongoing commitment to economic growth and development, while Jane Brennan sweeped the Young Entrepreneur Award, and Kellie Mackney the Young Business Executive.
Tamworth Community College was voted the Employer of Choice, with Tamworth Family Support Service took the honours for Mental Health Recovery.
Fan favourite, The Peel Inn got the nod for best Accomodation Service, while McDonald’s Tamworth took out the award for Excellence in Sustainability.
Not many were surprised to see the revamped Goonoo Goonoo Station take out the Startup Superstar, likewise with the Cancer Council, the invaluable service being judged the top Social Enterprise.
Single Builders held up the Community Involvement accolade, while BAE Sytems flew to the top of the Excellence in Innovation field.
In the Excellence in Food and Beverage Categories, another revamped business, the Econolodge Frog and Toad took out the small category, while the large category went to coffee house Addimi Espresso.
The Goodstart Early Learning Centre in Brisbane st were rewarded for all their hard work looking after the future generations with the Employment, Education and Training gong, while Tourism, Sport and Entertainment went to the team at the Northern Inland Academy of Sport.
Connect Hearing heard the crowd when they lifted the Health and Wellbeing trophy, and Tranquility on Marius won Hair and Beauty.
The best in Professional services went to Countrywide Legal and Business Services, with Haynes Pest Management won the Trades and Services, and Lysaght took out the Manufacturing, Construction and Rural award, and Motor Transport went to Robert’s Mechanical and Alignment.
Agricultural Machinery specialist Goodwin Kenny were bestowed with Workplace Health and Safety, and Tamara Private Hospital was recognised with the Defence Reserves Supportive Employer Award.
Business Chamber president Jye Segboer attributed the success of the awards to the new judging process, which saw over 60 independent judges using a system with much greater transparency than previous years.
