With about 765 tickets sold, the Tamworth Business Chamber has surpassed its record of 740 set in 2014 for the 50th anniversary event. Marketing and memberships manager Jill Stewart said the lead up was “positive”.
“We also believe that one of the reasons there is such a positive response to the awards this year is due to the new judging process,” she said.
“The independent judging process and portal has meant greater transparency and confidence in the Chamber’s approach.
“These awards are not about us as a Business Chamber, they are about the local business community feeling supported and rewarded for their efforts day in day out. We won’t stop at the awards either, there is so much to look forward to from a Chamber perspective after the awards, but for now, we are focusing on putting on a night to remember.”
Held on Friday, August 4, finalists are ready to party.
“This is the first time as a finalist since the business has moved into it’s new home in the northern end of Peel St,” Runway director, Chantel Quinn said.
“I think it’s an excellent idea that the finalists have been announced before the awards this year. It seems a lot more organised and allows people to plan and also relax on the night.”
Tickets are now sold out.
