The pair, who have been on the run from police since Tuesday, were arrested in Inverell about 5.30pm on Friday.
Six offenders have now been arrested over the same incident relating to a stolen car being involved in a fail-to-pay on Tuesday night in Inverell.
“The following day the same vehicle was involved in a fail-to-pay at Ashford,” Inspector Chris McKinnon said.
“It’s alleged one of the occupants threw a rock at the station attendant when the employee approached the vehicle.”
Police were alerted and extra officers were called in in a bid to stop the vehicle, before six people fled on foot from the stolen Holden Cruz.
The police helicopter – PolAir – was also diverted to assist in the search for the offenders on Wednesday.
“Police stopped the vehicle in the vicinity of Graman where six occupants of the vehicle were seen to run into neighbouring rural properties,” Inspector McKinnon said.
“Police chased the occupants and after a foot pursuit, arrested two females, aged 19 and 23.”
New England police said two women were captured on Wednesday and two men had been arrested in the Graman and Delungra areas on Thursday. The remaining two were arrested in Inverell on Friday afternoon.
Police said the vehicle was reported stolen in Ipswich in Queensland.
Police thanked the community for their co-operation to locate the final two men.
