It was the monthly running day of the miniature trains at the track near the city’s Botanical Gardens.
Community members enjoyed some fun in the sun while the volunteers from Tamworth District Model Engineers Inc led them around the miniature railway track.
Last month the group celebrated its 21st birthday with a grand parade of trains after forming through a love of model engineering in 1996.
Train enthusiasts from across the state converged on the city to join in on the celebrations.
The popular railway was the culmination of many years of hard work by volunteers from across the region and with the help of grants and Council support.
