The album and the raffle are both part of the fundraising efforts towards getting a bronze bust of Brian Young erected in Bicentennial Park.
Cassar-Daley was one of a long line of artists who cut their teeth in country music, touring with the Brian Young Show to remote parts of Australia.
“The name Brian Young rings like a bell with all of our country music community because he helped me and so many others start our musical journeys,” Cassar-Daley wrote on social media last week.
Recognised as the last of the travelling showmen, Young passed away on May 14 last year.
Samantha Hart is the daughter of Bob Howson, who toured with Young in the early 1980s.
She was the driving force behind the memorial album, which includes artists who toured with The Brian Young Show, along with several of Brian’s own songs.
“Everything is running as planned,” she said on Wednesday.
“Not only do we have Troy’s guitar up for raffle but we also have a Rinnai portable BBQ that was donated to us. We also have an Outback run to raffle and Troy Cassar-Daley cup and the Valley Coffee for raffle.”
The album launch will start at 6pm, at Tamworth City Bowling Club on Saturday. Entry is free, and the line-up includes several artists who toured with The Brian Young Show.
