Following the showriding competition over the weekend, the focus shifted to showjumping.
Stone was first in the B grade associate (17-U25) while Baker won the U13 open class.
“We’re getting some really good results,” Zone 5 Chief Instructor Jude Alston said.
Nundle’s Skye Sylvester was eighth in her A grade U17s class.
“She’s doing well being a junior and being in A grade,” Alston said.
Quirindi’s Wylie Hockey was meanwhile fourth in the U13 C grade class and club-mate Sophie Hill sixth.
Backing up from her champion ribbon-winning performance in the U9 showriding, Quirindi’s Robin Henry was seventh in the D grade U13 class, just ahead of Digby Hockey (Quirindi) while Olivia Hill, like her sister, placed sixth.
Zone 13, which encompasses Ashford, Tenterfield, Deepwater, Walcha, Uralla, Armidale, Kingstown, Martin’s Gully, Guyra, Glen Innes and Bundarra, has also enjoyed some strong results.
Riding Jadon Gizzelle, Glen Innes’ Shae Partridge was reserve champion in the 15 & U17 years showriding with 23 points, and fourth overall behind Aberdeen’s Katrina Gorman.
Gorman scored 30 points in winning the 15 & U17’s class ahead of Partridge, while Wingham’s Jacinta Sullivan finished on top in the 9 & U11’s, Denman’s Emmersen Mitchell the 11 & U13’s, Tahnee Sullivan the 13 & U15’s and Jessica Craythorn (Wingham) the 17 & U26.
