Tudors got the early jump but Souths slowly, but surely, clawed their way back.
“I think it was even at half-time then we played much better in the second half and put them away,” Souths coach Greg Scott said.
The players at either end of the field led the way for the improving Souths outfit.
“Harper Galvin put away a magnificent goal, him an Will Turner up front are playing well together,” Scott said.
“Special mention to Toby Climpson, he’s only played about three games at keeper and he’s doing a great job for us.”
In the other men’s match, Workies put in a near flawless first half to account for Kiwis.
Workies led 7-0 at half-time, according to coach Andrew Farmilo, before Kiwis came home with a full head of steam to finish with a 9-6 scoreline. Workies plan to work on finishing off games in the future.
“It’s happened a lot this year – we haven't closed out games,” Farmilo said.
“It’s a bit frustrating but understandable. It’s something we’ll probably try and work on – to have that mental capacity to go on with it.”
