The Ben Smith-trained Anecdote (74) is next for a young Newcastle trainer who was in Brisbane overseeing outstanding mare In Her Time’s third in the Tatts Tiara on Saturday.
Smith hails from Scone and his last start winner (Anecdote) is a six-year-old gelding who notched win number six at his 27th start when successful in the Jerrys Plains Open at his last start at Muswellbrook.
He edges out the Brett Cavanough-trained Escebee, resuming Husswick (Rod Northam) and Puzzling Wonder (Mack Griffith).
