Shortly after 1pm on Sunday, police and paramedics were alerted to reports a man had been runover by a motorbike on a property off Hospital Flat Rd at Tingha.
On arrival, they found a 19-year-old man with a suspected broken leg and other injuries.
He was transported by ambulance to Inverell airport where the Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked from Tamworth.
He was assessed by a doctor at the scene and stablished.
He was airlifted to Tamworth hospital and was reportedly in a stable condition.
There were unconfirmed reports the man had been hit by a motorbike, but investigations into the incident are continuing.
North West missions
A TEENAGER has been airlifted to hospital after being injured in a car crash near Narrabri.
Emergency services were called to the single vehicle crash about 20km north west of Narrabri on Saturday.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was also tasked from Tamworth but was diverted to collect the patient from Narrabri hospital.
A spokesperson said the 18-year-old suffered leg and chest injuries.
He was stabilised by doctors and was then airlifted to Tamworth hospital in a stable condition.
Meanwhile, a three-year-old boy has also been flown to Tamworth for specialist treatment.
The chopper was tasked to Burren Junction about 8pm on Saturday to collect the little boy who was reportedly suffering a viral infection.
He and his mother were then flown to Tamworth hospital.
