There was plenty of smiles on the dials of racegoers for the annual event, with a good crowd settling in for a day out at the track.
Dayarma stormed home to win the day’s feature race, the $10,000 Noelene Martin Memorial Benchmark 55 Handicap.
Jockey Serg Lisnyy guided the Steve Hodge-trained horse home by half-a-length ahead of Brad Munro’s Onslow with the Sue Grills-trained Fashion Stage taking third.
There was a dead heat for fourth place with nothing separating Split the Atom and Zar Gold.
