Shelley and Lawrie Minson are gearing up for a busy Hats Off to Country Music Festival and they’re inviting music fans to join in on the fun.
You can catch them at The Oasis Hotel on Friday, July 7 from 7pm and also at the Cattleman’s Steakhouse on Sunday, July 9 from 12pm.
They’re also performing a guest spot at their friend Matt Scullion’s album launch at The Albert Hotel on Saturday, July 8 from 4pm.
“We had a really big start to the year with a big Tamworth Country Music Festival in January,” Shelley said.
“We also had Viva Las Vegas at Easter and we are just back from the Cooly Rocks On Festival. It’s been really busy but we are looking forward to the Hats Off Festival.”
Shelley is celebrating the release of her debut album Rockability which has shown great results on the country charts.
Guests at the Hats Off shows can expect to hear some music from the new release, along with some old favourites.
“We will be playing originals from my Rockability album, a lot of songs from the 50s and a long of rockabilly and honky tonk and old time country,” she said.
“It’s happy music people can get up and dance to.”
Shelley said the duo will also try and catch some gigs of their local and visiting friends.
It doesn’t stop at Hats Off for the Minsons, with the duo set to perform at the Gympie Muster and Cruisin’ Country later in the year.
