The 6-nil win over Metro South West (3) was a “good way to finish”, coach Andrew Davy said.
“We led 5-nil at half-time.The second half we chopped and changed things a bit,” he said.
It was their second win for the weekend, Davy lamenting their inability to convert the opportunities they created.
“The game is won by scoring goals and unfortunately we weren’t able to do it when we needed to,” he said.
He was still pleased with the way his young side played over the championships.
“It was good exposure for some of the younger girls. They’ll get a lot of experience out of it,” he said.
They all contributed, but Davy thought Kimmy McLean, Tayla King and Abigail Doolan were their best performers. Katrina Rekunow also worked hard.
