“Real Men Wear Pink”, which runs from June 12 to 18, is part of a national campaign encouraging men to “Get Pinked” to raise $1.5m for the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
Tamworth Region Mayor Col Murray said the campaign is a fun way to help support the researchers who are “doing amazing work”.
“This campaign is a bit of fun to be involved in, but the message is a serious one,” he said.
Council will host a number of fundraising events, including a breakfast at depots in Manilla, Barraba and Tamworth and hopes other businesses will jump on board. To donate or join the campaign visit www.realmenwearpink.org.au
