With temperatures expected to plummet in coming weeks, manager Dave Barratt says the wood has started walking out the door.
“The wood is sold by the scoop, is stockpiled all year round so the moisture content is very low,” Mr Barratt says. “So it’s easy to get your fire started and keep it burning through the night.”
The business, in Barnes Street, has special sized wood for pot belly stoves, open fires, slow-combustion fires, pizza ovens and also sells kindling.
Tamworth Landscape Supplies also supply turf, soil and sands, garden accessories and cement products.

Husband and wife Terry and Debra Cohen started Downtown Interiors in 1979.
Their business has proved such a success, their clients, their children and some grandchildren return for revamps on original designs.
“We’ve been here since 1979 and have seen styles come and go, but our success is that we offer a personal service, good quality and reasonable prices,” Debra said.
She recommends autumn colours to “warm up” a home, preferably with rugs and curtains.
Interior decorators and consultants can assist with makeovers for homes and businesses.
“Come and browse our fabrics and blind samples to see how best to match your home,” Debra said.
“We’ll work with you to personalise your own stylish spaces that you can enjoy for years to come.”
Terry and Debra Cohen keep in contact with existing clients, helping them with their new refurbishments.
