I’m so proud of the song. It was produced by Andrew Cochrane and is available on my debut EP we released on the same day.
I wrote Confetti with one of my good friends, singer songwriter Mel Dyer. She’s such a talented artist and we wrote the song about a year ago in her bedroom and I knew as soon as we finished writing it, that I wanted it to be a single. It’s crazy how quickly that time has passed and now it’s finally out for everyone to enjoy.
Very soon you’ll be able to request the video on CMC and in the meantime, please check it out on YouTube and give the song a download if you like it.
The video was a blast to film working closely with Josh Favaloro at The Filmery.
We had a very large confetti cannon on set so you can imagine how much fun we had and there was a lot of confetti! Josh is such a great director and I always enjoy working with him.
This month, I will be heading to American where I’ll spend a few weeks songwriting and performing – my first trip to America is under.
The CMA Festival takes place from June 7 to 12 and thanks to one of my sponsors, Chris and Gemma Watson Travel, I’ll join Australian and American artists to perform at an exclusive luncheon they organise.
There are many people involved in making this trip happen including the CMA and AristoMedia in Nashville, and I’m looking forward to songwriting with some very talented writers thanks to HSF Artist Services, Dan Hodges Publishing and the power of Instagram. I have found a lot of my favourite songwriters online and it’s great to be able to reach out to them. In addition to the songwriting, I’ll be catching up with a few Aussie friends I have over there, and seeing the sites. I have always wanted to see the Grand Ole Opry and the Bluebird Café. There’s a lot of things I can’t wait to see and do.
You can catch me at some of my gigs, check out the Gig Guide in Capital News or jump over to my website rachaelfahim.com to see what I’ve got coming up. One thing you definitely don’t want to miss is the Toyota Hats Off To Country in July in Tamworth where I’ll be playing a few gigs in and around the town over the weekend with multi-Golden Guitar winner Melinda Schneider. I’ll be heading to Armidale and Narrabri in the Toyota RAV4 thanks to Toyota Star Maker.
It’s been great having their support this year, I’m loving every second! I hope to see you out at a gig soon.
