Tree lopping and a residential subsidy scheme will soon come into effect following the Office of Environment and Heritage approving a Section 95 certificate, complete with a $30,000 grant.
A 50m buffer zone will be created around two homes immediately adjacent to the camp, as well as a 15m buffer zone from potential conflict areas around Paradise Tourist Park, according to TRC Regulatory Services manager Ross Briggs, with work starting June 13.
The subsidy scheme will see council offering 50 per cent subsidies to affected residents to help with impact minimisation equipment such as car covers, and rain water tank diverters.
