The foursome of Damien Baguley, Reuben Andrew,Jeremy Minnett and Brad Rheinberger will hit the ground running at the Toyota Hats Off to Country Festival in July with two free shows at The Longyard Hotel.
It’s a favourite venue for the band, who enjoy the country vibes and party atmosphere that the hotel brings each time they perform a show.
The group last performed in the city at the Tamworth Country Music Festival where they packed front deck of the hotel to the brim of country fans.
Band member and Narrabri local Damien Baguley said it was at the last Hats Off festival that the band launched the pre release for their latest album Just Press Play followed by the official launch at the Gympie Muster.
He said he couldn’t believe a year had flown by.
“It’s hard to believe a year has gone by, but it’s been a good year,” he said.
”We went to Canada and did some shows, we played at the Big Valley Jamboree where heaps of American and Canadian artists performed and we had a great time.
“Our album was released after hats off and debuted in the top five of the ARIA charts, we’ve released a few singles since then and went to the (united) States and played on board Country Cruising.”
Baguley said Hats Off was a favourite event for the band to play at and it was always a “fun” show and a great crowd.
“We love Hats Off, it is always fun, we get to play in the front bar and squash as many we can into it,” he told The Leader
“It’s our fourth or fifth Hats Off and we’ve played at The Longyard every year.
“It’s always fun, there’s something about it that has a great vibe, they look after us and they keep coming back.”
Baguley said the band had been working had to put together a whole new show.
“We have been working hard to put together a new show with a few new songs off Just Press Play, “ he said,
”Some of the songs we haven’t been playing live yet, it will be a similar sort of show with high energy and a lot of fun.
“Bring your drinking boots because it’s always a party.”
The group are looking forward to a busy year ahead, including performing on Cruising Country which will set sail in October.
