For approximately twelve weeks my phone and NBN have been off the air in a form of relay, for days at a time it’s the phone and then it’s the internet or both.

When I ring Telstra I am switched to an Indian call centre, I cannot understand what is being said, the staff speak at a rapid rate and have no technical training.
I have tried getting Barnaby Joyce’s office to follow up on the matter but to no avail. Joyce is of no use whatsoever.
The problem started when Telstra connected me to the wireless tower on the hill near the entrance to Farrer College and I have lost thousands of dollars because of Telstra’s failure. Telstra refuses to switch me back to my underground line as a temporary measure until the problem is fixed.
Fortunately I have kept seventeen pages of diary notes and Telstra can expect a nice little claim.
My recommendation to anyone having trouble with Telstra is to refuse to talk to the Indian call centre, all they are doing is depriving Australians of jobs and the revenue our Government should receive in the form of payroll tax etc. The cost base for the Indians is much lower per employee, no superannuation and other addons etc.
As a long-time share market investor I believe Telstra has plateaued and given the way they conduct themselves there is little chance of an upside in the share price. I have sold my interests in the company.
