A field day organised by Tamworth Regional Council in conjunction with NSW Local Land Services, NSW Department of Primary Industries and Invasive Species Management Services provided participants with information on various control methods for Maderia Vine and Espartillo.
The noxious weed infestations on Dungowan Creek, Peel River and Timbumburi Creek have the potential to spread further downstream, into the Namoi River Catchment and landholders will play a key role in controlling them.
NSW LLS has given Council funding to control these noxious weeds within the Peel Valley catchment.
