Friendship Force – an international organisation whose emphasis is on hosting international guests and giving them an insight into the Australian way of life – was in full force as 18 ambassadors from Seoul, South Korea, had a taste of the New England over the past week.
The guests were shown the region’s sights by five Tamworth host families and four in the New England, visiting local shearing sheds, learning to horse ride, and stopping in at Dangar Falls.
The visitors also made an appearance at the 35-student school at Rocky River Public, where some of the women dressed in national costume to talk about their home country.
“It’s a cultural exchange promoting world peace one friend at a time,” Tamworth host Annette Watson said.
“We’ve had an absolutely wonderful time. They are delightful people to host.”
The Tamworth Friendship Force has hosted people from many countries since its inception in 1989.
