Racing NSW said she had settled into the Liverpool Rehabilitation Centre after being transferred from Gold Coast Hospital on Friday.
Her father, Jason, said it was nice to finally have Melanie close to the family’s home, located 30 minutes from Liverpool, Racing NSW said.
Racing NSW welfare general manager Maurice Logue will visit the 22-year-old on Friday afternoon and then provide a further update, Racing NSW said.
She was treated at Gold Coast Hospital following the April 8 tragedy.
On May 4, Racing NSW issued a statement in which it said Bolwell was attending a gym and was able to walk and talk freely.
However, she had no short-term memory.
Doctors said her recovery would take time, it said.
