The seventh annual Shannon’s Tamworth Motor Show will light up the TRECC this weekend with over 80 showcars on display from all over the state and country.

The chamois and polish were out in force on Friday afternoon, as car lovers went to work getting their pieces of passion looking their best after many took on the wild weather en-route to the show.

Mercedes Benz will take centre stage this year, with 16 classics on show, as well as a host of new models on display, although all told there will be over 20 makes of car on the floor.

West Tamworth Rotary show organiser Neville Evans is hoping to get around 4000  sets of eyeballs through the door over the weekend despite the rain.

“We have so many cars now that the show can’t get any bigger, we just strive to make it better every year now,” Mr Evans said.
