IT doesn’t take a lot to show a little kindness and one local business is urging Tamworth and Gunnedah community members to write messages from the heart this month.

As part of a national promotion in May, Coles will be raising funds for national charity, Red Kite to help provide financial and emotional support for families affected by cancer.

Redkite general manager for marketing and fundraising, Monique Keighery, said the support from local communities would make a big difference to children and young people with cancer, and their families.

Community members have until Tuesday, May 23 to take part in the fundraiser.

Shoppers at Coles supermarkets in Gunnedah and Tamworth can buy a $2 donation card to write a message of kindness for someone special and all for a good cause.

Coles state operations manager Grant Shelton encouraged local shoppers to support the campaign to support families affected by cancer.
