St Peter’s Preschool looks after 40 kids a day, and with the extension it will be able to cater for another six children.

“They’ve also been to create an additional-needs room, for kids who might need a bit of one-on-one with an educator,” Early Childhood Minister Sarah Mitchell said.

“It’s a really good invest because it’s not just about investing in the bricks and mortar, it’s about investing in the kids and their future as well.” Tamworth MP Kevin Anderson said it was really important to continue providing opportunities for local families to get their kids into preschool.

“By investing in early childhood education we are investing in the future of our region,” Mr Anderson said.
