The women defeated the Hawkesbury Jets 63-42 before the men bounced back from their first loss with an 81-75 triumph over the Hills Hornets.
“We probably made it a bit tougher than we needed to,” coach John Ireland said.
They came out firing and jumped out to a 25-9 lead at the first break, but had to rally late with the Hornets fighting back to be up by six with around seven minutes to go in the game.
“It was a really good character builder for a young group of guys,” Ireland said.
Kyle Gupton had one of his best returns for the Thunderbolts with 31 points.
The Bolts women were earlier in front at every break, and built from a 15-8 advantage at quarter-time to a 30 point lead heading into the final quarter.
Taylor Skelton was their leading light with 21 points while Tshinta Knox nailed 13 and Sara Westman 10.
