Batting first, TPS reached 5-119 off their 25 overs before dismissing Gunnedah South for 86.
The foundation was set at the top as Charlie Stone and Charlie Walsh put on 73 for the first wicket.
Stone made 43 before retiring while Walsh hit 26.
Clabe Dorrington was the pick of the Gunnedah South bowlers, snaring three of the five wickets to fall.
Tamworth Public coach Michael Payne also highlighted Bailey Crowe’s efforts.
“He took three amazing catches at first slip and his fielding on the boundary was pretty impressive,” he said.
Crowe was then looking dangerous with the bat and his dismissal for 19, to a great boundary catch by Bailey Simpson, swung the game. Simpson also chimed in with three wickets, bowling leg-spin initially and then switching to off-spin, while Kyle Delaney and Lewis Shepherdson grabbed two.
