The club had tried to get the match reverted to Sunday but with the Group 4 first division commencing that day, match officials could not be found.
The Magpies have four players on under-23 representative duty at the Greater Northern Championships in Armidale on Saturday.
Dellar said another four players had work commitments and two were injured.
He said: “It’s a bad week for us … It’s very disappointing.
“But you know, we couldn’t send 10 players out there because Boggabri’s a pretty fair side.
“There’s nothing we could do about it.”
While the Magpies decided not to field a 10-man team, Boggabri played with 10 men against Bingara in round two.
They lost the match 40-36.
