One of Australia’s top animal scientists previously had a long and high profile career with Meat and Livestock Australia.
Herefords Australia chairman Pat Pearce wrote to the organisation’s members last week, saying it was “with regret” that he was informing them that Dr Ball had tendered his resignation.
“Dr Ball will continue to operate as the CEO until that date and has the full support of the board to do so,” Mr Pearce said.
The loss follows on-the-spot resignations of two Herefords Australia directors, well-regarded breeders Peter Sykes and Lachlan Day, earlier this month.
