The five-year-old mare had been campaigning well this preparation without quite landing that telling blow.
But a drop in grade and trip proved a telling recipe for Supreme Goddess ($4), who powered away to take out the West Armidale Business Houses Class 3 Handicap (1900m).
Winning jockey Jodi Worley produced a gem of a ride and the daughter of Supreme Class did the rest, hitting the line strongly for a two-length victory from Stannis Baratheon ($7), her third from 19 starts.
Tamworth trainers Sue Grills and John Hine made their mark on the meeting.
Grills prepared the winner of race two, House Wins ($2.90fav), a son of Dubleo, who broke his maiden status at start seven with Allan Chau aboard.
Hine was smiling after the well-supported Beau In Chains ($2.00fav), ridden by Vad Bolozhinskyi, accounted for Noceur by 1 ¼ lengths in the 1400m Class 1 Handicap which kicked-off the meeting.
Hometown galloper Victory Vibes lived up to his name in the 1100m maiden.
The Terry Vidler-trained Victory Vibes ($6) had not run a placing in his previous nine career starts, but packed too much punch late to beat home Tennessee Vega with Craig Franklin in the saddle.
Cliveden House ($4.20) prevailed in the last event of the card, the 1100m Benchmark 50 Handicap for Armidale trainer Paul Grills and apprentice jockey Mollie Partridge.
