The venue is playing host to three Central Northern District Bowling Association pairs events.
The men’s state pairs has attracted 10 teams.
The father-son combination of Mark and Nick Golledge is tipped to be a major contender.
But unlike six teams who received the bye in the opening round, the Golledges are drawn to take on Ben Ballantine and Arron Johnson.
The other rink in action at 9am will be Adam Carr and Graeme Cameron against Dave Shorten and Grahame Hall.
The quarter-final stage will be played on Saturday afternoon from 1pm, with the semi-finals and final slated for May 6.
This event is being run in conjunction with the president reserve pairs and men’s state senior pairs.
The president reserve pairs has attracted 11 teams, with five receiving first-up byes.
They will commence their challenges in the quarters.
The men’s state senior pairs features 13 teams, with Dick Spinks and the in-form Kim Greentree rated as one of the leading teams.
