Stehr, driving a Nissan 200sx, secured round two of the Tamworth Sporting Car Club Lap Dash in fine style.
He broke the magical 39 second mark, setting a time of 38.69 seconds in the quickest of his 12 completed laps.
Such was his dominance, Stehr finished close to half a second quicker than his nearest rival Wayne Toomey.
TSCC spokesperson Katie Slingsby said Stehr deserved all accolades which went his way.
“Brad was impressive to watch out there, his car was quick and he drove superbly,” Slingsby said.
In addition to being the overall winner, Stehr took home his class, the Type 4 Over 2-Litre division, a little cherry on top of the big cake.
Toomey zipped around for 15 laps in his Ford Escort and posted a best mark of 39.14 seconds.
A total of 44 drivers, some of whom travelled from as far as Newcastle, took advantage of perfect conditions.
“We had a great roll-up, usually we’re around the 30 mark when it comes to competitors, but to get 44 was fantastic,” Slingsby said.
“There’s a lot of new younger members who have got their mates along.
“The bulk of the drivers were from Tamworth and Gunnedah, although we had two or three from Newcastle as well.
“You couldn’t have asked for a better day weather-wise to be out there on the track.”
Slingsby, the leading female driver for the round, was among a raft of racers to put down personal-best times on the circuit measuring 690m in length.
“Gunnedah’s Wayne Grosser had a PB (41.58), Stephen Lynch in his Mazda MX5, he put in a time of 41.21, which is good going,” she said.
Other class winners included Kees Van Der Horst, Dave Rogers, Daniel Hunt, Marc Grogan and Grosser.
Grosser, driving his Falcon FPV, was the 13th fastest overall and emerged on top in the the Type 2 Over 2-Litre class.
Van Der Horst, third across the line, was among five drivers to surpass the 40-second mark in a classic Westfield Clubman.
The other four consisted of Stehr, Toomey, Allan Barnes (Celica) and the evergreen Gundy Hunt (Westfield Clubman).
The next event on the club’s calendar is the Tri-Series event on May 20-21.
It brings together drivers from three clubs with Tamworth taking on competitors based in Kempsey and Newcastle.
Saturday offers drivers the chance to get a sighter of the track, with Sunday the crunch day of racing.
The Lap Dash will be held in conjunction with that event.
