Many of the 160 members of the Clubhouse, which supports people with mental illness, have been chipping away for months on the tribute, which also includes six silhouetted soldiers and a mural depicting diggers against a sunset.
Operations manager Michael Herden said that it was a fitting tribute for Anzac Day that they hope to build on every year.
“We had 300 poppies last year, so have just been adding to them over the last couple of months and making the cut-outs for the soldiers,” Mr Herden said.
“We aren’t doing anything for the day here, although we will have members at the dawn service and down the street for the march.”
