The 39-year-old fell from a tree at a property in Tingha near Inverell on Saturday and was taken to Inverell hospital.
He was then airlifted by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter to Tamworth hospital in a stable condition with a serious leg fracture.
The chopper also transported a 70-year-old man from Gunnedah hospital to John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle on Sunday for specialist treatment of a serious medical condition.
