The five-year-old Muswellbrook gelding had disappointed trainer Stephen Gleeson at his last two outings but returned to winning form in emphatic fashion to claim a seventh career win at his 30th start, and first at his home track.
“He’s always had the ability. Just his last two have been disappointing but he was back in business today,” Gleeson said after the win.
Endowed with speed Gleeson will keep him at the 1000m distance.
“He’s a very fast horse. Not too many can lead him when he’s spot on. He’s been a very good horse for us considering no one wanted him at the Scone Yearling sale. Glad we kept him,” he said.
