Lila Grant will be celebrating her 105th birthday among family on Saturday.
It’s a big milestone for Mrs Grant who lived in Quirindi for most of her life.
With four children, 18 grandchildren and 42 great grandchildren, ranging in age from 78-years old down to six months, Mrs Grant spent a great deal of her life caring for others and looking after her family.
Her four children will join Mrs Grant for her special day, including one making the trek from Canada for the occasion.
Daughter Robyn Ingall put her mother’s longevity down to a healthy lifestyle.
“She never smoked or drank and she always ate healthily,” she said.
While it’s a big birthday for Mrs Grant, milestone celebrations are becoming a common occurrence at Bupa. It’s already home to Australia’s oldest-living man Alfred Powell who rung-in his 108th birthday in style last September.
