SOME of Tamworth’s major shopping outlets will open their doors a little later than normal on Anzac Day, while others will remain closed for the public holiday.

In line with NSW legislation, supermarkets in the area are unable to open their doors before 1pm on Tuesday following official Anzac activities.
Carlo’s IGA supermarkets in Robert St and Calala will open their doors from 1pm until 6pm.
Tamworth Shoppingworld will open from 1pm with Big W and Woolworths open for trading for the rest of the day.
Some Shoppingworld specialty shops within the centre are also expected to open for optional Anzac Day trading.
Tamworth Square on Peel St will open from 1pm until 6pm with major retailers expected to begin trading from 1pm.
A spokesperson for Centrepoint Shopping Centre said major retailers including Aldi would open from 1pm while Jamaica Blue would be open early, from 7.30am to cater to those looking for a coffee fix following the dawn service.
Coles at the Northgate and Southgate Shopping Centres are also expected to open from 1pm.
For move-goers, Forum Six cinema will be open on Anzac Day from noon until about 10.30pm.
Smaller cafes and stores in the Tamworth CBD are expected to open their doors for trading later in the day.
Tamworth Regional Council’s Ray Walsh House and the Tamworth Court House will be closed on Tuesday for the public holiday.
