But despite that dominance, the Bears find themselves in an intriguing position on the eve of the new season.
North Tamworth’s reserve grade side is drastically short of players, something the club is keen to rectify before the opening round on April 30.
The Bears have appointed a new reserves coach in Cleave Thompson, but as club legend Jack Woolaston revealed, numbers on the ground are low.
“We’re definitely short of reserve grade players,” Woolaston said.
“I think a few have dropped off and I think people that might want to have a run are concerned they won’t get a game because we’ve been traditionally so strong.
“But there’s plenty of spots open if you want a game.”
He urged any interested players to get down to training at Jack Woolaston Oval each Tuesday and Thursday from 6pm.
