EMERGENCY crews rescued a man who sustained an ankle injury while walking around Flagstaff at the weekend.

An Ambulance NSW spokesman confirmed crews were tasked to Brisbane Street about 7.45am Sunday morning with reports a man, believed to be aged in his 40s, had sustained an injury to his ankle.
The man was transported to Tamworth hospital in a non-critical condition.
State Emergency Service crews were also tasked to the incident.
