Sattler made the trek from Marks Point, located near Lake Macquarie, to the North West with his charge Flying Point at the front of mind.
Flying Point, who has two wins at Wentworth Park to his name, looked well-placed in the opening Cup heat and justified his $1.40 favouritism on Saturday.
The son of Oaks Road made every post a winner from box one to score in 31.68 seconds, shading Brucey Marlow by 2 ½ lengths, with Sheba’s Doll third.
Emergency Sharp Songar proved a surprise packet on his way to sealing the second heat in 31.92 seconds, 0.24 slower than the first.

Duri’s Tiger Swuff (sixth) and Gunnedah’s Sam’s Legacy (seventh) finished down the track.
