Bolwell, 22, is now in a stable condition and the bleed around her brain does not require surgery.
However, Bolwell has a fracture in her neck and is having an MRI scan to determine the course of treatment.
A decision will be made in the next few days whether the ventilator tube can be removed.
Doctors have also found a fracture in her ankle.
Racing NSW's Dr David Duckworth will continue monitor Bolwell’s treatment.
Her parents and boyfriend have been by her bedside at Gold Coast Hospital since the apprentice hoop was transferred from Warialda following the fall which claimed the life of popular North West jockey Darren Jones.
Fellow rider Leanne Henry suffered a broken collarbone and concussion from the fall, but underwent surgery on Monday night.
Duckworth reported the surgery ‘went well’ and Henry would now be on the mend.
