The defending champions shrugged off the loss of several of their key players to beat Gunnedah by 49 points.
Not quite a complete four-quarter performance Nomads coach Tom Hunt said his side couldn’t afford lapses in concentration.
“It is going to be a very tough game so we are looking forward to it,” he said.
“Against these good sides, Gunnedah and Tamworth, you just can't afford to turn off, you have to play the whole game.”
In other games Inverell are at home to Narrabri while Moree host Gunnedah.
