After three rounds of matches, the series went to Narrabri for the deciders and the hosts sealed the deal courtesy of a 14-run grand final win against Interdales.
Narrabri posted 4-96 in its allotted 20 overs with Alyssa Ford (34) and Aleisha Middleton (23) the leading batting lights.
Despite a brilliant 50 from Chloe Johnson, the Interdales finished 3-82 by stumps as Middleton 1-10 followed up her batting effort with the ball.
Johnson had earlier made 48 in a loss to Tamworth, while Alliyah Davison (3-8) bowled an inspired spell in the same game.
The encouragement award was awarded to Amy Evans from Armidale who attended all three weekends and bowled with a great passion.
The league attracted players from Tamworth, Gunnedah, Narrabri, Wee Waa, Moree, Warialda, Tenterfield and Armidale.
The commitment to travel and develop girls cricket has been amazing from the players and their families.
Following some great performances, the girls will next be attending the NSW Girls Academy trials at Tamworth’s Riverside No.1 Oval on April 29.
That is followed by the Central North annual cricket presentation dinner.
Special thanks to Peter Graham, David McGill and the three host associations Narrabri, Tamworth and Inverell, to provide a great opportunity to unearth new talent and see players develop their skills.
