Seven members of the Tamworth sub-committee cooked the sausages, steak and distributed coleslaw to patients and carers at the cancer centre accommodation facility.
President Kevin Robinson said all on hand enjoyed a top evening.
“There was probably around a dozen residents at the barbie from as far away as Glen Innes, Armidale and Moree,” Robinson said.
“It’s tough for them being away from home and their loved ones going through chemotherapy.
“We got stuck into cooking the food, we had two or three guys on the barbie and two or three dishing out the coleslaw.
“It was great to be there and give them a bit of a lift.”
The partnership between Men of League and Inala House was struck up during the latter stages of last year when the foundation presented the facility with a special Christmas hamper.
