Family and friends of the three-year-old Tamworth boy rallied together to create a family fun day in Bicetennial Park.
The event was a fundraiser for little Max, who has Cerebral Palsy, with money raised to assist his parents in purchasing aids to help him learn how to walk.
There was something for everyone, from stalls of fine jewelry to lucky dips and fairy floss for the kids.
Max’s dad Tim Simpson said the family was overwhelmed by the community support with between 400-to-500 people flocking through the park gates to enjoy some fun and games.
Mr Simpson said about $3000 was raised on the day.
“A massive thank you to all who came and helped us raise money for Max and help celebrate his birthday,” Mr Simpson said.
“(Thank you to) all involved in the organisation of the event, we couldn't have done it without you all.”
