Now in its 11th year of operation, Fertile Farm specialises in poultry and cattle manure. Director Julian White is a Fertcare accredited farm consultant who can provide professional advice on soil health and fertility, crop and pasture nutrition.
“Many of our clients are increasing their use of poultry and cattle manure because the medium- and long-term benefits are now becoming more obvious,” he said.
The company gets manure directly from chicken farms.
“We remove the manure from the chicken farms in a timely and organised way to meet the requirements of both customer and poultry industry,” he said.
Poultry manure is high in both nutrients and organic matter which stimulates soil microbial activity which in turn improves soil health.

“Applying manure fits with the more agroecological strategy many farmers are now adopting.”
Julian said it was important to have a soil test and get a professional recommendation before purchasing fertiliser to ensure clients choose the right product as well as apply at the correct rate, timing and placement.
Fertile Farm also sells conditioners including lime and gypsum.
To contact Julian call 0417 138 015 or email info@fertilefarm.com.au for a free soil fertility consultation.
