Midson certainly had an enjoyable trip home to his Werris Creek base after Grumpy Luppy, Mr Deeks and Tralee Molly all greeted the judge first.
Making his effort even more noteworthy was the fact the three winners came in consecutive races.
Veteran campaigner Grumpy Luppy ($4.00) kick-started proceedings following a dashing display from box three in the Kootingal Quality Meats Appreciation Grade 5 Stakes (402m).
Mr Deeks ($2.50) made light work of the Jeff Teege Appreciation Grade 5 Stakes (402m), saluting in 23.55 seconds.
Tralee Molly ($2.50) rounded out Midson’s joy by holding off Lucas Valley in the Duke’s Ice Appreciation Maiden (340m).
Duri’s Melanie Mabbott prepared a double on the day thanks to litter-mates Tralee Destroyer and Tralee Maz.
