A brand new, 11-speed, light alloy road bike (retailed at $1499) is up for grabs in the raffle; jointly funded by organisers and the Broken Spoke cycling store. The event will be held on Sunday, April 2 and is organised by the Rotary Club of Tamworth First Light and Tamworth Sunrise.
All proceeds from the event will go to Youth Insearch and local mental health organisations, including the Banksia Unit.
So far, 120 people have registered for the event, with four courses ranging from 16km up to 115km. Group registrations are available for families and teams of up to four members.
Event chairman Terry Robinson said more registrations are welcome. Raffle tickets are $5 for one, or three for $10, and will be sold at the event, which will start and finish at Moore Creek Tennis Club on Moore Creek Road, Tamworth or can be purchased from the Broken Spoke on Marius St.
