A WOMAN has been refused bail, accused of stabbing a man multiple times during a late-night argument.

Detectives arrested Allarnna Jade Manager at the scene of the alleged stabbing in Hargrave St, Armidale, on Friday night.
The 29-year-old was denied release during an out-of-sessions hearing in Armidale Local Court on Saturday and remains in custody, charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and reckless wounding.
“There was a gathering at the premises and an argument occurred shortly before 9pm on Friday,” New England Detective Sergeant Matt Crotty told The Leader.
Detectives allege she attacked a 29-year-old man, stabbing him several times inside a Hargrave St unit.
“A 29-year-old male suffered injuries to his hands and torso,” Detective Sergeant Crotty said.
“The male left the premises and police were alerted.
“It was a very quick response by New England police to render the man assistance and secure the scene.”
The man was taken to the emergency department of Armidale hospital with multiple wounds and was admitted for specialist treatment. He remained in a stable condition in hospital on the weekend.

Detectives arrested Manager at the scene shortly after the alleged stabbing.
Police won’t be drawn on the weapon used in the alleged attack but confirmed it was seized at the home where a crime scene was set up.
Detectives returned to the scene on Sunday where they continued to search for witnesses.
“Police have interviewed several witnesses, and investigations are ongoing,” Detective Sergeant Crotty said.
“Police would be appealing for any witnesses in the vicinity of Hargrave St that may have seen or heard anything after 8pm on Friday to please contact Armidale detectives.”
The Leader understands the argument is not domestic-related but the pair are known to one another.
